Montpellier trio, Senior Consultant Andy Parker, and co-directors Philip Hicks and Guy Woodcock managed press briefings, announcements and photo calls for world-leading unmanned helicopter manufacturer, UMS SKELDAR, a joint venture between Swiss-based UMS AERO and Sweden’s Saab.

Client deals announced included a partnership with Australia’s Sentient Vision to provide ViDAR, the world’s first optical radar solution, for UMS SKELDAR’s flagship platform the rotary VTOL (vertical take-off and landing) platform SKELDAR V-200.

“It is gratifying that our work across global markets which started with the Singapore Air Show almost 2 years ago has enabled us to see this exciting business take off to become a leader in its chosen markets, including navies worldwide and civilian and other military applications,” explained Montpellier Director Philip Hicks. “It was a logical move to develop this sector, covering air, ground, maritime and underwater unmanned and autonomous systems.”

CEO Guy Woodcock added: “Paris joins a long list of international assignments that have allowed Montpellier to gain leadership in a number of niche markets, including defence technology, aerospace and unmanned sectors. Clients based outside the UK and international assignments are an increasing part of our internationally focused consultancy.”

Montpellier has managed client projects over the past 18 months in global markets and locations including Abu Dhabi, Bangalore, Berlin, Dubai, Helsinki, Kuala Lumpur, Linköping, Möhlin, New Orleans, Rome, Singapore, Stuttgart and Valparaiso.

UAVs are established as vital components in strategic deployment across a range of maritime applications, serving both military and civilian sectors. The ever-expanding market for UAVs is predicted to be worth 28.27 billion USD by 2022.
