Cheltenham’s leading PR communications firm specialising in the technology, life sciences and real estate sectors, Montpellier, has appointed Dean Enon to take the helm of the 28-year old firm’s expanding PR and Content division.

Cheltenham-man Dean was formerly PR & Content director at digital marketing agency Cognition Group in Birmingham, and throughout his 25 year career has been leading PR teams in consultancies – including Speed Communications in Bristol, Gravitas in Cheltenham – and in in-house senior roles with RWE Innogy and CCR Motor Co.

Dean was head-hunted into the role on the back of Montpellier’s formidable client growth over the past six months and he will be responsible for the service delivery and leadership responsibilities of the firm’s public relations division.

“I have admired Montpellier from afar for a very long time and for me this is a dream role come true. There is no other outfit I would rather be part of and I’m eager to get under the skin of the organisation and our clients to propel the firm to the next stage. I am absolutely delighted.”

Montpellier, founded in 1991 by its CEO Guy Woodcock, has had an extraordinary start to 2019, doubling monthly fee-income in the first quarter, augmented this week by a further three client wins in the pharmaceuticals, defence technology and facilities & estates management sectors.

“I’ve been aware of Dean for a good long while as we have observed one another from the bridge of our competing consultancies! He’s a great catch and a much needed addition to our flourishing business. He’s a highly capable man, has already proved popular with clients and staff alike and, importantly, is a man of integrity. I can trust him to help me further our growth and fortune as I begin to think about taking more of a chairman role in the firm.”
